Awesome Oatmeal Monster Cookies

We are in the depths of winter here in MN, so it is time to heat up the oven and bake cookies. This Monster Cookie recipe is easy to make and delicious to eat. I promise this is one cookie recipe you will have on repeat. It is also a friend favorite, and you will be asked for the recipe time and time again.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats note, do not use quick or instant oats
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • ½ pound Unsalted Butter (two sticks), softened use organic or grade AA butter
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • cups Chocolate chips I use dark chocolate, pick your favorite
  • ½ cup M&M's
  • ½ cup Rasins

Instructions
 

  • To prepare the dough, in your stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the butter, sugar and brown sugar, and vanilla until blended and creamy. Next mix in the eggs.
  • In a separate bowl mix together the flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Once the flour mixture is combined add the oats followed by the chocolate chips, M&M's and raisins.
  • drop the dough on parchment paper lined cookie sheets about 2 inches apart, no need to flatten them. Bake the cookies at 350 °F for 10-12 minutes.
